On average, couples have sex 78 times from the time they decide to start trying to the time they get a positive sign of a pregnancy test.

Making a baby is a serious business. While some couples seem to get pregnant on the first attempt, others can spend what feels like forever trying.

But there’s an actual number of times it takes a couple to get pregnant. Those 78 times are spread over 158 days, or about 6 months, according to a new survey.

ChannelMum.com, a parenting site, surveyed 1,194 parents and found that most couples have sex 13 times per month when trying to conceive. Although this may sound like 13 times the fun, there are certain anxieties that come with trying to become parents. Eighteen

China Fast-Tracks ChiNext Reforms to Attract Tech Start-ups from Shanghai to New York

Elroy Mariano

Back in late April, China kicked off a reform to fast track initial public offerings (IPOs) on Shenzhen’s start-up board ChiNext. The aggressive move by Beijing is designed to accelerate capital market structuring to reinvigorate an economy ravaged by coronavirus.

The scheme to launch a U.S.-style, registration-based IPO system on ChiNext was approved during a meeting overseen by President Xi Jinping, who stressed the need to counter economic headwinds with structural reforms, state broadcaster CCTV said.

China stepped up efforts to channel much-needed capital into virus-hit companies and innovative start-ups as Beijing battles an economic slump and competes for technological supremacy with the United States, Reuters said.

Reforming the ChiNext is a key step toward building “a disciplined, transparent, open, vibrant, and resilient capital market,” CCTV reported. It did not give a timeline for the new regime to be adopted.

Apple Has Pulled Epic Games From App Store

Elroy Mariano

While a judge may not settle the dispute between Apple and Epic Games for months, the computer giant pulled the Fortnite maker’s games from the App Store on Friday (Aug. 28), 9to5Mac reported.

Epic emailed its Fortnite players that the iOS and Mac versions of the game are blocked from receiving updates.

The move comes amid a pending lawsuit against Apple by Epic. The dispute began earlier this month when the Maryland-based game maker released a payment platform that was crafted to bypass the App Store’s payment system and its 30 percent commission.

In response, Apple said it would end Epic’s access to the App Store on Friday (Aug. 28) arguing that Epic violated Apple’s rules. Epic filed suit alleging that the tech giant’s practices are anticompetitive.

“Apple’s removal of Fortnite is yet another example of Apple flexing its enormous power in order

The 30-day free trial is not restricted to new customers only.

New JioFiber customers activating from September 1 will get a 30-day free trial of the broadband service, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited announced on Monday. This means, all potential customers will be able to “test drive” JioFiber free of cost for a period of 30 days and “if you don’t like the service, we will take it back, no questions asked,” according to a statement released by Jio.

The 30-day free trial is not restricted to new customers only. Existing JioFiber customers who onboarded the service between August 15 and August 31 will also get the 30-day free trial benefit as a voucher in the MyJio app. Speaking of which, Jio is offering some really attractive benefits to rope in more customers to its home broadband service (as also, trying to retain existing ones) in addition to “free” internet.
