The Conair Dual Jet Bath Spa Turns Your Tub Into a Whirlpool

Elroy Mariano

One of the best things you can do to unwind on vacation is fill the fancy hotel bathtub with warm water, turn on the jets, and soak your bod as you look out the window at the Swedish Alps (yes, I’m daydreaming). Sure, you could take a bath in your—let’s call it what it is—tub… but it’s not quite the same. The next best thing, though? Get yourself this Conair Dual Jet Bath Spa ($50) for a bubbly whirlpool experience in your home tub.

While bath extras like essential oils, CBD, bubbles, and candles can make your soaking sesh pleasant, it’s the whirlpool jets that really make you feel like you’re soaking in luxury. The Jet Bath Spa hangs over the edge of your tub, and the dual jet attachment works underneath the water to bubble your bath into a full-on whirlpool. It’s incredibly simple to set up (like, it’ll

The $60 Desk Gadget Kim Kardashian Uses to Look Good On Zoom Calls

Elroy Mariano

As we usher in a new season this month, one thing is clear: Remote work is here to stay. Our focus is shifting from temporary adaptations (we’re looking at you, dining table–turned–office) to long-term ones. Yes, it’s time to buy that standing desk and, according to Kim Kardashian West, invest in good video call lighting. This week the reality star shared her setup on Instagram and called out the “best lighting for my Zoom sessions” as L3’s ZoomLite.

In the midst of product launches and the announcement that Keeping Up With the Kardashians is ending, West has also been studying to become a lawyer. And we all know how seriously she takes her reflection. So if she says the ZoomLite reigns supreme, we believe her.

The $60 gadget clips on to the top of your computer screen for “professional Hollywood lighting” and takes up zero desk space. It offers

We may not be travelling much, but when we do, we’ll have some exciting new tech to take with us.

At Berlin’s IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) – the only major tech exhibition happening in 2020 – there was a new slant on travel tech: Covid-19 related gadgets.

However, along with the portable mask sanitisers and wearable air purifiers, plenty of “old normal” tech was launched, to the delight of photographers, adventurers, and anyone who has trouble getting to sleep.

This Small Gadget Safely Stores a Face Mask in Your Car

Elroy Mariano

We live difficult times, there’s no doubt about it, and in the last six months or so, each and every one of us just had to adapt to a completely different lifestyle that changed pretty much everything we do.

Including our relationship with cars, that is, as for some reason, face masks have become the new car air freshener because way too many drivers believe just hanging them to the mirror is okay.

As a side note, it really isn’t, especially because face masks should be stored in safe places where they can’t be exposed to any kinds of contaminants or even worse, where they can spread any potential virus that’s already attached to its filters.

This is a problem that a new device called Car Case4Mask wants to resolve, as it proposes a new approach to safely store a mask inside a car.

More specifically, this is a case

Dr. Phil recalls Carroll Shelby’s race for the perfect golf gadget

Elroy Mariano

If you’re playing golf on Labor Day, you might think of race-car legend Carroll Shelby when you shank a ball into a water hazard.

Shelby — who was a dedicated member of LA’s exclusive Bel Air Country Club — invented other gizmos besides hot rods, and apparently spent much of his time on the links trying to concoct the perfect device for retrieving golf balls from the drink.

“I saw Carroll every day,” the late driver’s pal, Dr. Phil, told us. “We were really good friends. You know, he was Texan . . . I’m from Texas, and we were both members of the same club where we played golf. I met him there close to 20 years ago. He was a fun guy.”

The talk-show star added of his pal, “He was such an inventor! The most valuable club in my bag is the ‘ball getter’ . . .

New gadget emerging as the getaway vehicle of choice for frontline criminals

Elroy Mariano

Electric bikes and scooters are becoming the new vehicle of choice for the criminals on the frontline of Merseyside’s gangland.

High-profile incidents in recent months – including a fatal shooting – have revealed their growing use by gunmen and drug runners.

Thieves have also targeted the vehicles as they grow in popularity among the wider population.

For years, off-road bikes have been seen as the preferred mode of transport for troublemakers.

Fast and agile, illicit scrambler bikers have long-known they can get between – or away from – crime scenes quickly on their bikes.

Able to go down alleys and through parks and fields, they are effective tools to escape pursuit by police officers on foot or in squad cars, with many of the more serious incidents leading to a police helicopter being scrambled to support efforts to track riders down.

One alternative to this cycle of chopping and washing is a $13 tool that does all the work for you. The Chef’n Garliczoom looks like a toy, and it kind of is one. It’s a round container that comes with a built-in blade that moves and chops with each roll. Imagine your younger self playing with a toy car— you’ll use the same motions for the Garliczoom, and according to shoppers, you’ll have just as good of a time.

“These roller mincers are fun and effective,” wrote one five-star reviewer. “Plus they rinse out quickly, are easy to load, and separate the paper skin from the meat.”
